In an effort to help those children in the state of Washington who have been diagnosed with juvenile diabetes, the Puyallup Valley Lions Club is trying to raise funds for Camp Leo. Camp Leo is dedicated to providing an overnight camping experience for children with Type 1 diabetes. The staff and volunteers offer a safe and secure environment where children can have fun away from home, meet other children with diabetes and learn about their disease so they have the tools to live a healthy and happy life.
We are excited about having the opportunity to help raise money for such a noble cause. We would like to invite you to join in our efforts to raise money. With your help we can make a difference. When you register for the 2014 Puyallup Valley Lions 5K Strides Walk for Camp Leo that will take place on March 22, 2014, you will help make an impact on combating diabetes.
With the net proceeds going to fund Camp Leo for Children with Diabetes, we can provide Camp Leo with opportunities to help children to become self reliant and know how to handle the daily challenges of living with diabetes. Join the fight and together we can raise the money needed to fight against this life threatening disease.
This event will take place on March 22nd, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
