Mt. Spokane rises abruptly above the vast Spokane River Valley, offers 360-degree views of four different states/provinces, and at 5,883 ft. is one of the tallest mountains in Washington east of the Cascades. The mountain itself is surrounded by a state park and is the most prominent peak on the southwestern side of the Selkirk Mountain Range which runs more than 300 miles to the north. A large network of single track trails and abandoned roads are maintained by the park for use by hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders-- these fun and challenging trails provide a great venue for the race.
