Drafting Etiquette

Drafting is part of the reality of racing. However, just because drafting on another runner is legal doesn’t mean there are no standards of etiquette to follow. Recognizing the advantage that the runner you’re drafting on is providing you goes a long way toward keeping the running community friendly and welcoming. Nice Trail Upgrade in Federal Way

On a weekly basis I usually run on the Interurban Trail in Federal Way near Celebration Park. On my last run there, to my surprise the trail had been improved. There used to be tons of the scotch broom on either side of the paved trail and the dirt trail, but they must have taken a tractor and cut down most of it. This will make the trail safer and much more enjoyable to runners/walkers, not to have to taste that nasty plant while it is blooming.
