46th Annual Fowl Fun Run Presented by Skagit Runners   November 16th, 2024

Join us for the 46th  Annual Fowl Fun Run on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Mount Vernon Christian School in Mount Vernon, WA. We are excited to offer indoor staging for the 2024 event! We offer two distances: a 5K run/walk and a 10K run. Both courses are USATF-certified and are run on flat, low-traffic farm roads in the Skagit Valley. We will be using the IPICO chip timing system to time both races. Stay for food, refreshments, and for the opportunity to win a pumpkin pie!

Free Kids Half-Mile Run

The half-mile kids' run for those 8 years and under starts promptly at 9:15 a.m. This fun run is free, but children must be registered in person by 9:00 a.m.

Course Description
The 10K run is a flat loop on farming roads south of downtown Mount Vernon with a short out and back section on Dike Road. The 5K run/walk is a flat course with an out-and-back section on Britt Road. Both races will start in front of the gym at Mount Vernon Christian School. The courses are not closed to vehicle traffic, but both courses have been designed to avoid crossing any dangerous intersections. One aid station will be located near the 3-mile mark on the 10K course.

Pumpkin pie, snacks, and refreshments will be available after the race for participants.

Optional shirt (may not be available for purchase on day of race)    $15

Optional Running Socks   $12

Youth ages 12 and under (no socks or shirt)     $10

Adults 70 and older (no socks or shirt)     $10

Online registration closes Monday, November 11th at noon.
Please note that all entry fees are non-refundable.

Day of Race Registration
Please arrive early if you plan to register on the morning of the race. We will not hold up the race start to wait for late arrivals. 

*No guarantees on correct shirt sizes for day of race registration

         If you arrive after 9:30 a.m. and try to sign up for the run, you may miss the official start. 

               Day of Race Packet Pick-up and Registration Schedule
Pre-registered participants may pick up their bib numbers and timing chips starting at 8:25 a.m.  on race morning. Day of race registration will begin at 8:25 am and end at 9:30 am on race day.

Race Day Schedule

8:00 a.m. - 8:25 a.m. - Volunteers set up

8:25 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. - Day of race registration

8:25 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. - Bib number/chip pick up for pre-registered participants

9:15 a.m. - Kids' half-mile run starts

10:00 a.m. - Both races start

10:05 a.m. - Turkey begins the 10K run

12 p.m. (noon) -  Both courses close
