We are excited to offer a new event this year outside of Cashmere, Washington: The Red Devil Challenge! This 20k (12.75 mile) singletrack loop will be very challenging, with approximately 3,000 ft of elevation gain. This loop spans nicely graded trails that are well maintained and quite buffed out. The trails dissect beautiful glades of ponderosa pines and pine grass, traverse ridges with views out to the Enchantments and Mission Ridge, and also cuts through cooler, darker stands of Douglas fir. This loop makes a superb run and will challenge even the most seasoned trail runner. This will be one tough 20k! There will be one aid station on the course, but runners should bring hydration packs/water bottles and or energy food to carry on this course, as early June can be warm!

There will be one aid station at the Sand Creek Trail head, with water, energy drink and gels. This will also serve as the exchange zone for the relay runners.

Participants are encouraged to carpool, as parking is extremely limited at the Devils Gulch/Red Devil  Trailhead, so we have a FREE shuttle van for all runners courtesy of Arlberg Sports.  Parking will be in Cashmere, with location to be announced on our Facebook page.  A Northwest Forest Pass is required on all vehicles, if parking at the trail head.

We will be allowing ten, two-person relay teams this year! Runner #1 will run the first 5.5 mile section and exchange with Runner #2 at the Sand Creek Aid Station. Runner #2 will run approximately 7.5 miles. Runners will be shuttled to and from the exchange zone.

Field will be limited to 75 runners, including 10 two-person teams.

Entry Fee: $30 until May 15, then $35 until June 3rd.  There will be no race day registration. $5 of each participant entry goes toward a local non profit organization!

Team Entry Fee: $60 until May 15th, then $70 until June 3rd. There will be no race day registration. 

Individual Awards: Top three male and  female finishers will receive a Commerative Red Devil Challenge award.

Team Awards:  Top three teams will recieve a Commerative Red Devil Challenge award.

Shirts: Commerative Brooks technical shirts will be available for purchase for $20.  Please email us your size and quantity of shirts.

Course Map: Click here for the course map. The yellow line is the route, starting at the Devils Gulch Trail Head. The aid station will be at the Sand Creek Trailhead. We will be running this route in a counter clockwise direction.
