I had a stroke 7/12/14. I was running before that, I was on way to to trying to complete 6 or 7 halfs when it happened. After my stroke I felt life is way too short and wanted to even try to reach my goal of more races. I knew after my stroke that PR's will be out of the question...NOT. Yes it's about finishing. But for me it's about spreading the word about the warning signs of a stroke. I have meet some stroke survivors that can't even walk when they used to do 10 miles a day, I'm lucky. So that is my passion.
