The second annual Sun Mountain Trail Races will be held Sunday June 20 2010 in Winthrop, Wa. These running races take full advantage of the fun and fast Sun Mountain Trails. The views of the Methow Valley, North Cascades and Chelan Sawtooths make the distance well worth all the effort. And if running (nearly) every single trail at Sun Mountain isn't enough for you the brand new 50 mile option adds the entire Twisp River Trail to the scenic adventure! In partnership with MVSTA and Sun Mountain Lodgewe're proud to bring you the only ultra in the Methow Valley, where year round the sun shines an average of 5 out of 7 days.

We think this will be a relatively fast course with times probably similar to Chuckanut 50k or Baker Lake 50k but probably not as fast as Way Too Cool 50k.

At least $5 will be donated by Rainshadow Running for each runner to a local non profit.
